On Sunday, I worked at the hotel where our youth are currently staying to help cover a shift. At noon, I told my colleague I was heading out to purchase lunch for the youth. I was at the grocery store and was making my way to the cashier when a woman, who recognized me, approached me and asked if I was shopping for the kids.

I replied that I was, for Youth Haven. She opened her wallet and handed me $100. She said she was a past employee of Morton House and knew of the great work Youth Haven was doing with our youth experiencing homelessness and wanted to hep. She asked that I not mention her name and just to use the money. Wow! We are truly blessed.
