We are proud to be partnered with RVH’s Family Medicine Teaching Unit (FMTU) who provide weekly doctor’s visits to Youth Haven, accessible to any youth experiencing homelessness who would like to see a doctor on a drop-in basis.
Many youth lack access to primary care, and many others avoid it due to shame and embarrassment, fear, and a lack of awareness of their needs.
The impact of the health care clinic is improved health for our youth by providing full exams, medication dispensing and monitoring, advice and information about personal care, and referrals for more intense physical needs.
