Money raised will be used to help at-risk youth and youth who are experiencing homelessness in Barrie, Orillia and Simcoe County.

“Youth Haven offers emergency shelter, transitional housing and outreach programs,” said Lucy Gowers, Youth Haven executive director. “Our staff work hard to support these youth in meeting their immediate needs while providing them with the necessary tools to help them access housing, education, health care, employment and schooling.”

Gowers said it is events like CNOY that reflect the generosity of the community.

“So many individuals, families, community groups, churches and businesses stepped up to make this CNOY event the most successful. It really speaks volumes when one considers the challenges faced by so many during the pandemic.”

Gowers said choosing to #bethedifference in the lives of these youth is an investment in the community.

“At the end of the day, our goal at Youth Haven is to equip these young people with the skills and tools necessary to grow into productive adults,” said Gowers. “We are grateful so many people in our community have made the same investment and have joined us on this journey.”
