Boxes of Hope
There is more hope than you can imagine in a single box.
Our Boxes of Hope campaign provides gift packages at Christmas to youth who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness in our community. This campaign helps ensure that each youth who comes to us receives 3 healthy meals a day, a warm bed, a winter care package, support, counselling, gifts under the tree and best of all a feeling of belonging, love and the knowledge that someone cared enough to contribute to their well being.
Residents can purchase a box for $50.
In 2021, our Boxes of Hope campaign raised over $58,000. 2022 has proven to be yet another challenging year because of the pandemic. Our staff have worked tirelessly to ensure the safety and health of our youth in emergency, transitional and outreach care, maintaining programs in Barrie, Orillia, and across Simcoe County.
There is no place like home for the holidays. For many of the youth in our care, that isn’t possible at Christmas. Youth Haven is their home, and as a community, we can #bethedifference this holiday season.
“Do you know this is the first time in several years that someone has given me a Christmas present?”
