It was a historic day for Youth Haven as representatives from the Simcoe County Home Builders Association, Youth Haven staff, volunteers, supporters, and members of the public gathered to witness the demolition of the old shelter.  The onlookers included youth currently supported by Youth Haven and some who had stayed at the shelter in the past.  The youth were given a chance to take a final walk through the building before Executive Director, Lucy Gowers, started the demolition process.
