A New Haven for Youth Haven

Thanks to the amazing support of the Simcoe County Home Builders’ Association (SCHBA) and other generous members of our community, Youth Haven has launched a capital campaign called A New Haven for Youth Haven, which is to build a new emergency shelter in downtown Barrie.

Youth Haven’s current emergency shelter is dated and beyond repair. There are over 600 youth in Simcoe County, between the ages of 16-24, who rely on Youth Haven for support every year for emergency shelter, transitional housing and outreach services.

The SCHBA plans to begin construction in August 2023 on the current site of Youth Haven and complete the rebuild in four weeks.

Now, more than ever, we need your help to build a new emergency shelter, a shelter to serve youth in need for decades to come – a place where they will feel safe, and also have access to various programs and services to help them get back on their feet.

We can’t do this alone! Please join us in choosing to #bethedifference in building brighter futures together!
