Jake and Jorden Mathias of the local band The Straits founded‘ Barrie’s Live Music Show'(BLMS) in early April, which allows people of all ages, representing all types of music, to share their talents on recorded video or by going live, and the public can follow along on the group’s Facebook page.

With bars and nightclubs closed, Jake decided this was a way for musicians in the Barrie-area to continue to showcase their talents while opening a virtual door for newcomers. But it’s been more than that. Each week, BLMS picks a charity to fundraise for, and Youth Haven was grateful to have been selected as one of the recipients.

Thank you to everyone at BLMS including the performers and to those in the community who support this amazing musical venture. $5,250 was raised for Youth Haven!

All of you chose to #BeTheDifference for youth in our region who are experiencing homelessness.
