We had a BLAST at our CNOY Kick-Off Party!

On February 15th, Lion’s Gate Banquet Centre transformed into a party to celebrate and raise awareness about youth homelessness in our communities. Karen Zinn and her husband Vanz know how to throw a party!

The owners of Multi Tech Audio Visual Inc. (MTAV) in Barrie approached Youth Haven and suggested a launch party for the Coldest Night of the Year (CNOY) Walk, our largest fundraiser.

Karen hit the ground running seeking sponsorships and selling tickets, while Vanz worked on the technical aspect to give what MTAV is known for, putting on a spectacular music and light show.

Youth Haven’s blue and green colours flashed throughout the Lion’s Gate. There was also a silent auction with spectacular items up for sale.

This event raised over $5000 towards the CNOY campaign!

Karen and her team wanted to give back to our youth in the community, and after having been through the shelter, her heart was set on celebration and creating awareness.

Besides MTAV as the presenting sponsors, there were other sponsors who also chose to #BeTheDifference.

Title Sponsors:
JMS Law
Splash Event and Floral Design
MTAV Entertainment Services

Bronze Sponsors:
Barrie Pride
TD Canada Trust

Thank you to MTAV for throwing a great party, our sponsors and everyone who bought a ticket and celebrated the evening with us. Thank you for choosing to #BeTheDifference.
