When completed in the fall of 2022, the new YMCA will have 20 transitional beds managed by Youth Haven for youth who are experiencing homelessness.

Currently, Youth Haven operates five transitional beds at its Barrie shelter. The new beds will mean Youth Haven can increase its emergency capacity.

Transitional beds will allow youth to be a part of the broader community, make use of Y programs/facilities, and have access to the core services of Youth Haven as they make the transition to becoming successful adults.
