Youth Haven Flag Presentation to Barrie Mountain Climber

In August, Deb Bobechko of Barrie climbed 5, 895 m to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro,  the tallest mountain in Africa,  as part of a campaign to raise funds for Youth Haven and awareness about youth homelessness.

Deb unfurls the Youth Haven flag atop Mount Kilimanjaro.

When Deb reached the top, she unfurled our Youth Haven flag.

Youth Haven Executive Director, Lucy Gowers, and Deb Bobechko.

Deb recently visited the shelter and was presented with the same flag, this time signed by the youth and staff thanking her for her climb and support.

Deb and some of our youth.

Deb chose to #bethedifference #pushyourlimits, and we say thank you.
